“Industry Innovation Dialogue – Optics meets additive manufacturing on December 7th, 2022 in Erfurt”
"Don't ask what additive manufacturing can do for you, but rather, what can you do for additive manufacturing." With these words, Kay Sawatzky opened the "Industry Innovation Dialogue – Optics meets Additive Manufacturing" on December 7, 2022 in Erfurt.
In a series of 13 presentations, several Thuringian companies and universities presented their latest achievements and contributions to the topic of additive manufacturing.
The main focus was on how advances in physical optics are driving 3D printing forward.
In this context, new optical systems, innovations and laser designs were presented.
Furthermore, new, recyclable plastics, innovative drive technologies for 3D printers and breathtaking AI and software solutions for optimizing 3D printing were presented.
The event was rounded off with interesting discussion rounds and a delicious dinner.
That evening, BURMS presented both its industrial light engines and their application as an energy source in additive manufacturing. Many interesting discussions focused on new innovations in 3D printing, with the aim of continuously improving the technology.
It was a pleasure to participate in this insightful innovation dialogue. We look forward to many more interesting events.
